This rescued linen was first hand dyed with fiber reactive dyes. Fixed and washed. Then the piece was hand stitched with thread and pulled tightly. Then wax was hand painted on the fabric. Then the piece was hand dyed with natural indigo. Then special wash for wax removal and a thorough washing and fix bath. Finally it was screenprinted in oil based ink for a very metallic silver bunch of ferns, all original artwork.
**Because of the ink, you MUST iron on the reverse side ONLY.
18" x 89"
Ink is heat set textile ink and therefore washable. Cold water gentle cycle or hand wash, with line dry suggested. Iron will be needed, but the linen is on the soft side.
*fabric factory waste rescue
*Reactive dye and Ink colors are UV light safe. Natural indigo will fade in direct sunlight, however will always be blue.
