DIY Bundle Dyed Scarf Kit

This kits comes with plant materials and a 30" x 30" silk scarf that has been mordanted in Alum so it is ready to grab the color, along with thorough instructions, cotton cord, even a helpful video!  The only thing you need is a *nonreactive pot.  The instructions will give you a starting point to working with natural dyes and suggestions on how to use what you have in your kitchen or around the neighborhood. 

If you'd like a extra prepared pieces to dye to pair with the kit go HERE. Depending on how liberally you use your materials, you should be able to dye 3 pieces. If up-cycling items you have at home, each piece should be mordanted so that it will hold onto natural color.

8g -15g of each;

Lavender (blue, yellow, green)

Safflower Petals (yellow-deep orange)

Calendula (yellow, orange, green)

Tiny Red Roses (reds)

Cornflower (blues)

Butterfly Pea (purple, blue) 

Black Tea

Hibiscus aka Sorrel Husks  (pink, purple)

(Dye materials are packed in recycled ziplock baggies. They are not decomposable as other package plastics are. But they are waste materials from another company, saved from the landfill. Reuse them when you're done!)
