Botanical Name: Lawsonia Inermisalso known as hina, the henna tree, the mignonette tree, and the Egyptian privet, is a flowering plant and the sole species of the genus Lawsonia. It is native to northern Africa, Asia and Australia and reddish-brown dye obtained from its leaves. It has many medicinal and cooling properties too. It is used as a coagulation for open wounds; and poultice made with henna leaves works to soothe burns and certain type of eczema.
