Pomegranate 15-20% WOF
Botanical Name: Punica-Granatum is considered to have originated in the region from Iran to Northeast India. “The genus name Punica refers to Phoenicians, who were active in broadening its cultivation, partly for religious reasons.” The major color is extracted from the fresh and dried peels. It is used as both a dye and in mordanting, but does leave color, so keep that in mind when over-dyeing other colors. Pomegranate yields soft yellows to green when 1-2% iron is added.
