Behind our storefront sits a great work space.
The main space is huge (1300 sq ft) and has a few industrial sewing machine (if you know how to use), a handful of home machines, silkscreen equipment (including tshirt print press, flash and conveyor dryer, exposure unit, textile yardage table, darkroom for emulsion coating, tabletop presses, dry rack), many tables to spread out on, gravity iron...plus squeegees, tools and notions for use. A lots of table space.
There are a few ways to get involved!
MEMBERSHIP is $100 a month and you pay per use. (5 total available.) So it costs as much as you need it, and you get some storage area. All members pay 20% off the listed fees half and full day fees, and door code to use the studio during business hours 9am-9pm.
Our MAKERS NOOK is $300 monthly. It's a set aside space where you can store your things and use the space with full access. A great option if can't do a full room at the moment, but maybe you'll grow into one!
2 available PRIVATE ROOMS on the main floor 6x12' secure studio room $575 monthly (utilities/internet included) with full access to the studio. Use as an office, or quit space, or storage. Everyone can spread out in the main studio to work.
The bigger STUDIO ROOM (9x12') is on the second floor, so it's a bit more private. With window, high ceiling, personal heat, and option for ac
$675 monthly (utilities/internet included) with full access to studio. Great for working alone, but you're able to come down to the main studio to work on larger table, photoshoot, or meet with clients.
The front of the space is open to rent by the day or month for pop ups! For Launches, gallery shows, sample sales, or trunk shows...let me know what you have in mind. Our showroom (behind the storefront) is open Fri-Mon and renters are welcome to sell their work if it's suits the shop.
SAMPLE STUDIO DAYS
Half day and full day rentals are available on occasion. We have one weekday and one weekend day designated to those who want to try out the space before committing.
Past students are welcome to rent as well.
Textile based (printing, dyeing, sewing) classes are taught throughout the week and weekend, so check the calendar if you’d like to attend and learn. SATURDAY afternoons are open for visiting artists teachers to rent out the space for workshops! Renters are welcome to teach as well and will always get priority when reserving space and time for teaching classes.
*Rooms and Maker's Nook require security deposit and sublease signed to hold the spot for you. First and Last month's rents due when you move in. Membership a $100 security deposit and sublease only required. Monthly rent is always due on the 1st. Also must have the right attitude to work in our no stress, no aggression, creative space.
