Stitching Resists with Natural Indigo, is a succession to the beginner shibori, this intermediate/advanced workshop is welcome to those who are familiar with hand stitching or are interested in furthering their shibori skills. This is a great slow paced class to focus on this tedious style of dye resist.
Nui, Ori-Nui, Maki-Nui, Mame, and Boshi will be shown, and students should be comfortable with a needle but being a pro is not necessary. A fructose indigo vat starter will be shown, before adding to a warm vat style as well as an iron vat.
Since the stitching will take some time we will meet 2 sessions, with a week in between to allow for plenty of at home time to work on larger pieces. More information is sent the week of your class. Make sure all fibers are natural that you plan on working on.
