Potassium Aluminum Sulfate packed with Potassium bitartrate (cream of tartar) to mardant 1lb of fabric
Alum is used as a mordant with some natural dyes.
Works better for protein fiber, and it's suggested to pair with cream of tartar. This can help to soften wool fibers.
Can be used as mordant on cellulose fibers, if aluminum acetate is unavailable. Suggested to also use tannins when just using alum for mordanting cellulose fibers.
